What’s included in this 4th grade science task card resource?
- PDF printable task cards with a recording sheet and answer key
- A PDF with a link to the 22 Page Google Slides
- Each card has one drag and drop option
- Each slide is self-correcting (star under the correct answer)
Concepts Covered
- Wave properties (wavelength, amplitude, crest, centerline, trough)
- Reading a wave
- Which waves travel through mediums (ex. light does not travel through medium, but sound does)
This covers the 4th grade science NGSS standards
- 4-PS4 Waves and their Applications in Technologies for Information Transfer
- 4-PS4-1 Develop a model of waves to describe patterns in terms of amplitude and wavelength and that waves can cause objects to move.
- 4-PS4-2 Develop a model to describe that light reflecting from objects and entering the eye allows objects to be seen.
- 4-PS4-3 Generate and compare multiple solutions that use patterns to transfer information.
How do you use the digital version them?
- When the students drag the correct answer to the answer box, there is a star under the correct answer so they are self-checking.
- Students must complete the digital task activity NOT in Present Mode, but in create mode.
If you do not want the digital task cards to be self-checking, you can simply remove the stars from under the correct response. You can do that by clicking on the star, right-clicking, and clicking delete.
