Do you need free weathering and erosion lessons for elementary kids? Look no further, because this post will include a list of free Youtube videos you can use. The lessons in these videos are aligned to NGSS and TEKS standards, and elementary kids are expected to learn about
Some of the questions they need to be able to reflect on and respond to are the following: What is weathering and erosion? How does it impact how the Earth looks and changes over time? How can the rate of erosion or weathering change with different variables?

What are students expected to learn in these weathering and erosion lessons?
In this Weathering and Erosions Unit, students will be learning about how the Earth changes over time. They will learn about Earth’s materials, and how Earth’s landforms were created.
Through fun and engaging reading, writing, and hands-on activities students learn about the Earth’s landscape changes slowly over time. They will learn about the impacts water, wind, and ice has on Earth’s materials.
Ultimately, students will have enough knowledge of weathering, erosions, and deposition that they will be able to complete a final stem challenge project. They will have to solve the following problem: how to keep a sand castle protected from water erosion.
About the Lessons
I have created Google Slides for each of the 4 lessons for this unit. Below you will find the Youtube videos of the recorded lessons. The videos are free, but the Google Slide lessons are not included with the videos. You can find those here.
Each of the Google slide lessons includes a Google Form check for understanding that you can have the students complete. It’s the perfect way to see the content knowledge students acquire during the lesson. Students will also have a printable for writing notes with specific questions to respond to as they listen to the lesson.
You will find four free video lessons in this renewable energy unit for 4th-grade NGSS science. Each of the 4th-grade science videos is less than 5 minutes long, and can be shown during whole group instruction or shared in Google Classroom for consistent review.
If you get the bundle, you will have access to all of the videos as well as the Google Slides they are created in. They are editable, so you can also add, and take away any concepts you wish.
